the lost art of lomography
i generally deny being called an artist, but there is – or rather has been – one thing in my life which put me in the realm of the unpredictable and less reproducible which could be named a form of art .. lomography.
24 hours on skis
the last weekend i’ve been to the Kronplatz ski resort in italy – as usual – not for holidays.. the local skiing schools had prepared for an extraordinary event – trying to challenge some world records, namely “the most vertical feet skied downhill in 24 hours” – for single athletes and a team of four.

garage sale ..
manche habens ja schon mitbekommen, ich tendiere langsam immer deutlicher wieder zur “gelben seite” – zu nikon.
nachdem ich vor gut 10 jahren mit der nikon D1 (damals ~5000€ für 2,75MP) der analogen welt den rücken zugekehrt hab, “musste” ich zwischendurch zu canon wechseln weil bei nikon eine ganze weile nicht so ganz das nachkam was ich mir erwartet hatte. es war eine schöne zeit mit canon, ich hatte das glück feine optiken günstig zu erwischen und bin immer noch überzeugt dass diese das schönere bokeh haben als alles was nikon baut. aber komischerweise legen viele leute mehr wert auf die scharfen teile der bilder ;)

russkaja live
annual “kabarett-woodstock” in neighbouring city of korneuburg. actually went there just for watching russkaja, but somehow felt like picking the camera from my car’s trunk, and since the organizer was fine with it.. ..
